Product Overview
The components of a cement silo (cement tank) include: the silo shell steel structure, access ladder, guardrails, feed pipe, dust collector, pressure safety valve, high- and low-level material level indicators, and discharge valve, among others.
Description of the dust removal system, arch-breaking device, and material-level detection device:
1. Dust-removal system: An electric dust-collection device is installed at the top of the cement silo, effectively capturing suspended particulates within the silo and reducing environmental pollution.
2. Arch-breaking device: The conical bottom of the cement silo is equipped with an air-blown arch-breaking device that uses a small solenoid directional control valve housed in the pneumatic control box to regulate the release of compressed air, thereby breaking arches in cement and various powdered materials and preventing material buildup and blockages.
3. Level Detection Device: The level detection device for the cement silo can sense the storage height of the material inside the silo.
Cement silos (also known as bulk cement tanks or cement bins) are typically used for the storage of bulk cement at concrete mixing plants. A cement silo is a closed-type container designed for storing bulk materials, making it suitable for applications such as grain, cement, fly ash, and other bulk commodities. Typically, the structure is a cylindrical support frame equipped with dust-collection devices at the top to prevent dust leakage, an arch-breaking device at the bottom to prevent powder agglomeration and ensure smooth discharge, and level-sensing equipment to monitor material levels in the bin at all times.
4. Bulk cement delivery trucks are typically used to pneumatic convey powder materials into the silo. Depending on the silo’s design, there are generally two unloading methods: one is to connect the bottom of the silo to a screw conveyor, which then feeds the powder into the powder metering unit; the other is to use pneumatic conveying (for specially designed cement tanks).
