What is the total power of the 180 concrete mixing plant?

We know that the HZS180 concrete mixing plant is equipped with a 3-cubic-meter mixer, which is why it is also referred to as a “3-cubic-meter mixing plant.” Power supply is critical for a 180-capacity mixing plant: if the transformer’s capacity does not meet the total power requirement, the equipment cannot operate even after it has been installed. To determine the required power, simply add up the individual power ratings of all components.

Below, Huihong will discuss: What is the total power rating of a 180 concrete mixing plant?

I. Main unit power of the 180 concrete mixing plant: main mixing motor power is 55 kW × 2, and hydraulic pump motor power is 0.9 kW.

II. PLD4800 batching machine for a 180 m³ concrete mixing plant: electric drum power 18.5 kW, equipped with four vibrators, each rated at 1.5 kW.

3. The electric drum for the aggregate belt conveyor at the 180 concrete mixing plant has a power rating of 45 kW.

4. Power ratings of the weighing system components at the 180 m³/h concrete mixing plant: the submersible pump motor for the water weighing system is 11 kW; the admixture pump in the admixture weighing system has a power rating of 3 kW; and the pneumatic systems for cement and fly ash metering have motor power ratings of 0 kW.

5. The φ325 screw conveyor at the 180 concrete mixing plant is driven by two 18.5 kW motors, while the φ273 screw conveyor is driven by two 15 kW motors.

6. The air pump motor at the 180 concrete mixing plant has a power rating of 18.5 kW; the total power of other auxiliary equipment is approximately 8 kW.

Therefore, the total installed power of the 180 concrete mixing plant is 287.9 kW, necessitating the use of an industrial transformer with a capacity of 300 kVA or greater to meet the user’s requirements.

Motor power of a 120 concrete mixing plant unit

To determine the total power rating of a dual-line 120-type concrete mixing plant, it is sufficient to calculate the power consumption of a single 120-line production line. The electrical equipment for a complete 120-type concrete mixing plant is primarily concentrated in seven key components: the mixing unit, aggregate batching system, belt conveyor, powder-material screw conveyor, weighing system, pneumatic control system, and electrical control system.

Below, we at Huihong will list, one by one, the motors and their power ratings used in the Model 120 concrete mixing plant.

I. Power of the Mixing Unit at the 120-Type Concrete Mixing Plant: The mixing unit consists of one JS2000-type Schwing mixer, with two 37-kW mixing motors, a 0.9-kW grease pump, and a 1.9-kW hydraulic power unit, for a total of 76.8 kW.

II. Power of the Aggregate Batching Unit at the 120-Type Concrete Mixing Plant: The aggregate batching unit is a PLD3200 four-bin, independent-metering type, equipped with four 1.5-kW vibrators. The electric drum motors for the flat belt conveyors are rated at 11 kW, with a belt speed of 2 m/s, for a total of 17 kW.

3. Power of the belt conveyor at the 120-type concrete mixing plant: The belt conveyor is available in three configurations—flat belt, herringbone belt, or bucket-type belt. The selected electric drum motor has a power rating of 37 kW, a belt speed of 2.5 m/s, and a belt width of 800 mm.

4. Power of the powder screw conveyor for the 120-type concrete mixing plant: The number of conveyors is determined based on the number of cement silos; typically, a complete 120-type plant is equipped with four screw conveyors (two φ273 and two φ219). The φ273 screw conveyors are rated at 15 kW each, while the φ219 screw conveyors are rated at 11 kW each, for a total of 52 kW.

V. The weighing system primarily comprises a water weighing system and an admixture weighing system, both of which are equipped with electric motors: the water pump motor has a power rating of 4 kW, and the admixture pump motor is rated at 1.1 kW, for a total of 5.1 kW. For the 120-station pneumatic control system, the air compressor motor is rated at 11 kW. The remaining electrical control components are calculated to have a total power consumption of 8 kW.

Therefore, by summing up the power ratings of all motor-driven components, we can determine the total power rating of an HZS120 concrete batching plant.

In summary, the total power consumption of a 120-type concrete mixing plant is as follows: mixer unit power 76.8 kW + aggregate batching machine power 17 kW + belt conveyor power 37 kW + powder material screw conveyor power 52 kW + weighing system power 5.1 kW + pneumatic control system air compressor power 11 kW + other equipment power 8 kW, totaling 206.9 kW for the entire HZS120 production line.

Therefore, the power rating of the dual-line HZS120 concrete mixing plant is 206.9 kW × 2 = 413.8 kW, meaning that at full load it consumes 413.8 kWh of electricity per hour. Taking into account a capacity utilization rate of 80% for the entire mixing plant, the dual-line HZS120 plant actually consumes 331.04 kWh of electricity per hour.

What Key Points Should Be Paid Attention to When Investing in and Building a Small Concrete Mixing Station?

What Key Points Should Be Paid Attention to When Investing in and Building a Small Concrete Mixing Station?
1. Selection of equipment configuration.

For smaller-scale investments, batching plants that use entirely domestically produced components and lower-cost main units can be selected.
2. Selection of equipment specifications.

When selecting a concrete mixing plant for internal use, the decision should be based on the construction capacity and the volume of concrete required. For external use, the selection should be determined by estimating the local concrete demand in light of site-specific conditions.
3. Selection of the venue.

When selecting a site for a small concrete mixing plant, it is essential to ensure that the site is located close to the aggregate and sand quarries, has an adequate water supply, and is situated at a safe distance from residential areas and other sensitive zones.

If the slope of the terrain is fully utilized by locating the material storage area on the higher elevation of the slope, the feeding height of the batching machine can be reduced, thereby minimizing or eliminating the need for the loader to ascend steep grades during loading. This not only saves energy but also reduces wear and tear. During the installation of equipment foundations, care must be taken to avoid existing aboveground and underground optical cables, power cables, and communication cables.

How to Maintain the Weighing System of a Concrete Mixing Plant

The weighing system, which comprises sensors, connectors (or connecting components), amplifiers, and other elements, is a critical component of the batching plant. The key protection measures are as follows:
①. Protection against lightning strikes and burnout caused by welding current;
②. Ensure effective dustproofing, moisture-proofing, and protection against all types of external damage;
③. Properly handle the connection points to ensure they are secure, safe, and provide good contact;
④. Prevent damage caused by overloading with abnormal materials.

Maintenance and Care of the Gas Pipeline

For air compressors, the oil level must be maintained at or above the minimum mark during operation. Relevant personnel shall conduct regular inspections of the oil level and the quality of the lubricating oil, and replace or top up the oil as necessary based on actual conditions. In addition, No. 19 compressor oil should be used in summer, while No. 13 compressor oil is recommended for winter. The air compressor should be placed on a level, clean surface, and the operating environment must be free from moisture and dust. Condensate in the air receiver tank should be drained every two shifts to ensure the proper functioning of the safety valve; furthermore, the safety valve should be inspected regularly—approximately once every three months—and the silencer should be cleaned every 250 operating hours.

Maintenance and upkeep of waterways and admixture delivery lines

The flowability of the water system is influenced by numerous factors, particularly the sealing integrity of the water pump. If clean water is not used during equipment operation, this can not only compromise metering accuracy but also lead to blockages in the water lines. Therefore, relevant personnel must exercise strict control over the water supply at the batching plant. When using a time relay for water metering, the accuracy of the measurement is affected by the installation and sealing of the water pump. During normal operation, if any issues arise with the pump seal, they should be promptly inspected and repaired to prevent disruptions to construction, while maintaining thorough records.

Maintenance of Concrete Mixers and Batching Systems

Maintenance of Concrete Mixers and Batching Systems
For the transmission system, during operation the equipment must be lubricated thoroughly as specified for all transmission gears, gearboxes, chains, and other components. At the same time, a detailed inspection of the equipment should be carried out to prevent malfunctions that could impair operational efficiency. If bearing oil leakage, overheating, or wear of the bearing bushings are detected, these parts should be replaced promptly. The oil seal assembly must be maintained in stable working condition over the long term, and the bearing-end seals should be regularly greased. For the mixing system, to ensure normal operation of the machinery, the mixing drum must run smoothly and components such as the blades must remain securely fastened without any looseness. If the blades or mixing arms show signs of wear, they should be replaced immediately, and any residual concrete remaining in the equipment should be cleaned out promptly.

How should you choose the batching machine for a 120 concrete mixing plant?

Currently, in accordance with industry standards, sand-and-gravel batching plants配套 with 120 concrete mixing stations generally use PLD3200 four-bin single-metering batchers.

What model of mixer is used in a 120 concrete mixing plant?

Answer: The main mixing units commonly used in domestic 120 concrete batching plants are horizontal forced-action JS2000 mixers.
